I’m one of those lucky people who remembers the moment that they felt a calling in their life.
I borrowed my dad’s Olympus point and shoot camera to take a picture of the moon rising over the mountain in my small hometown of Housatonic, Massachusetts. I set up the camera on a tripod outside, focused and pressed the button.
The very moment I took the photo and it appeared on the screen, I felt my heart leap. I was hooked. They probably don’t remember this now, but when I brought everything back inside I announced to my family “I’m going to be a photographer!” I was probably 13 years old at the time.
I received a bachelor's in Studio Arts from Florida Southern College in Lakeland and started my photography business when living in Pacific Grove, California in 2012. I’m currently based in Berkshire County, Massachusetts but often travel around the US or to the UK to visit family, friends or photograph weddings.
Even though I fell in love with my first picture of the moon, my passion is in photographing people. I believe people are inherently beautiful and when they are in the right lighting and in a good mood, they start to see the beauty in themselves. It is a very fulfilling way of connecting with people.
Now that I've introduced myself, I'd love to meet you!
